New feature alert: What are Google Cameos?
A new feature has just arrived in the Google world, and WordPlay T. Jay is on the ball and ready to show you how it works.
Google recently sent out invite emails regarding Google Cameos, a new feature that works in concert with Google Knowledge Panels. You have to have a Knowledge Panel to participate in Google Cameos, and not everyone with a Knowledge Panel is sure to get an invite.
In the email from Google, it asked T. Jay to test the new feature, which allows those with Knowledge Panels to answer questions from fans and questions about trending topics in video form, which will then be added to the their Panels.
T. Jay’s questions are all about music, including questions from fans like:
• How do you write your songs?
• When did you get into writing music?
• What is your favorite thing about making music?
Questions about trending topics included:
• How can you get over writer’s block?
• What is the job of a producer?
If invited to test Google Cameos, you have to download a phone application, on which will be numerous questions.
T. Jay answered about 30, one at a time and story style, and there may be more questions added day by day.
The example he shared in his music marketing email was an answer to the question, who most influenced your music?
“I was most influenced by Ludacris, and that i because when I first started writing lyrics, I listened to Word of Mouth through and through and every word,” T. Jay said. “He was my guideline, and then that changed to Jay-Z and others that continue to influence me over time.”
