I left Arkansas a few days ago feeling as if I should elevate my game. That may come as a surprise to some people. They may feel like I never stop working, and I have an inexhaustible amount of steam. The reality is I’m not doing half that I could be or want to be doing. A little is due to laziness. A little is due to the shear amount I want to accomplish in the given time of a day.

I aim for balance. I want time with my wife in our second year of marriage. I also want to be able to relax and unplug daily. That leaves me in a difficult spot. I do have help. Kyle Troutman writes the music advice articles here on this website. Garret Sanchez edits ALL of my videos and does some behind the scenes work for me. Still there’s a lot to be accomplished because these guys aren’t full time.

What is there to do? Produce songs, write songs, release songs, register songs, assist other artists, film Music Advice, & manage the company’s bottom line. On top of all of that, I teach middle school computer science. My cup runneth over. I don’t think I’ve signed up for all this on purpose. I feel I was led here FOR my purpose. God told me this a long time ago. I keep walking and waiting for the fruits to bear. Just so you know. I see some fruit.
